capture Playoff Championship
The Freeze outscored their opponents a whopping 18-3
as they drove the bus to the top standing. Superb
passing, great hustle and team cohesiveness were on full
display throughout the duration of the tournament and
netminder Rochelle Berg added another two shutouts to
her season total. Congratulations to the entire team for
a great weekend series and fantastically amazing season!

Freeze
ends playoffs with 2 OT'S and 2 shootouts
Freeze turns around a losing season to battle
back in the league semifinals. They started off the
weekend with a tough 3-1 loss against Brew City. Was a
great game, but our consistency just wasn't quite there.
After a short night sleep, we were up early playing the
Chicago Snappers in the 2nd round robin game. Out team
was clicking as the Freeze took the early lead
with 2 goals in the first. Snappers got a lucky tip in
with 30 sec left in the game to make the score 2-1.
Round robin seeding put the Freeze right back in the
same rink, with the same team later in the day in a
single elimination bracket. Great battle back and forth,
with teamwork all around....game ended in a 2-2 tie even
with overtime. On to a shootout! Duckie and Shannon
scored to secure our win and extend our season to the
semifinal game. Semifinals looked to be a repeat of
Friday night with Brew City on the docket again but the
Freeze battled to the end. Awesome game back and forth
with another 2-2 tie after regulation and OT. 5 women
shootout wasn't enough to end this one... on to sudden
death shootout!! After 8 rounds the Blades for the best
of the Freeze putting one in the net. Final score 3-2 to
end the season. Great games weekend, awesome teamwork,
and a hell of a lot of memories!! Thanks to all the fans
for watching our games....
