Tournament format:   Round robin pool play with a guarantee of three games per team.  At the end of round robin play, team scores will determine the Winner@ of each pool.  Two points equal a win, one point equals a tie, and zero points for a loss.  As teams from previous years of attendance know the Winner@ is really the team that comes and has the most fun for the weekend.  

 As with previous years we are again asking for sponsors to donate prizes for teams to win. There will be fun games to play such as the beaver toss, the annual quiz, etc  We will be giving away door prizes thoughout the tourney.  Remember:  That ADam@ Tournament is centered around a good time and some good hockey as well.  See you there!

 

Ranking Procedure:

 

1.  win/loss/tie record ( 2pts = win, 1 pt = tie, 0 pts = loss)

2.  goals allowed (least number of goals against)

3.  goal differential

 

Rules:

 

1.  USA Hockey Rules

2.     Team that is listed first in game bracket is designated the Home team

3.     Games will consist of three 12 minute stop periods as time permits.  The third period will become running time with 5 minutes left in the game.  (1:30 minor, 3:00 major)

4.     Ice will be resurfaced in between games.

5.     All players must wear a HECC approved helmet with either full face mask or 1/2 shield (senior women=s rules).  Players under the age of 18 must wear mouth guards and full face mask. 

6.     Players may play for only one team.  This is enforced and under the discretion of the Tourney directors DECISION IS FINAL: NO ARGUMENTS

7.     Fighting and/or unsports (WO) man like conduct will not be tolerated.  Player(s) will be disqualified from the tournament and asked to leave the premises.  Players will not be allowed on the bench for the remainder of the tourney

8.  Senior women=s USA Hockey Rules enforced with no checking allowed. 

9.  Teams are allowed one time out per game (1 minute in length). 

10. No overtime or shootouts, games will end in tie.

 

Entry fees:

 

1.     Team fee of $475.00 to be sent in with team roster and signed waiver.  Team will not be allowed to play until money for the tournament is received. 

2.     Money and roster must be received by Feb 25, 2011 for a team to be included in this tournament.  Due to ice availability, the tournament is limited to the first ten teams to respond.

3.     Three game guarantee for all teams participating in this tournament. 

4.     Team prizes, door prizes, and game prizes will be awarded during the tournament.
